The clubhouse will open at 7pm and the meeting will commence at 7.30pm.

Winter Nets Begin – The Season Starts Here

Here we go again….senior player winter nets are up and running as the count- down to the new season officially begins. Net sessions commence on Sunday 05 February, 12pm at Wolverhampton Grammar School and will run weekly for 8 weeks.

Please can everyone endeavour to attend to support the Club and prepare for 2012.

Volunteer Needed to Help with Golf Day

The club’s golf day has been a major source of income as well as a lot of fun for the past few years. A major part of it is the auction of sports memorabilia, which raises a fair bit of money. Mark Winzor and Paul Preece are doing the organising, as before, but they need another pair of hands to help with getting hold of items to auction and on the day for the auction itself. If you can see yourself taking a role here getting hold of choice items like Rosie’s bank statements for example, then get in touch with Mark or Paul and offer your services!

The Golf Day will be held this year on Wednesday 30th May at The Three Hammers Coven.

Brewood CC Golf Day 2012: Sports Memorabilia Auction – Volunteer Required

“Dear Members, Friends, Supporters,

You may all be aware that the Club has hosted an Annual Golf Day for a number of years and it has now become a very significant part of our social calendar. In addition it is also a major source of revenue.

Golf Day 2012 takes place on Wednesday 30th May at The 3 Hammers, Coven and in order to ensure that the day is wholly successful, the Golf Day Team is looking for a volunteer organiser for the Sports Memorabilia Auction that takes place in the Pavilion at the end of the event. The primary role is sourcing appropriate auction items to add to those pledges already in hand.

The auction is a most valuable part of the day and provides an opportunity to bolster the overall revenue raised by the event.

Brewood Cricket Club Premier Draw

Brewood Cricket Club is delighted to announce the launch of a new prize draw for 2012 and beyond.

The Brewood CC Premier Draw is being launched with a view to raising funds for maintenance and development of the Club’s facilities, at the same time giving members the opportunity to win major prizes.

The cost of membership is £5 per month with total quarterly prizes of £375:

Quarterly Prizes: £200/£100/£50/£25

Draw Date: each March/June/September/December

To Enter
Our immediate aim for 2012 is to launch the Draw with 50+ members. In order to enter the Premier Draw all you need to do is complete the Standing Order Mandate for £5 per month and return to me as soon as possible. Members can join at any point in the year and they will be automatically entered into the next draw.

Please extend this invite to all your friends and family.

Time to start planning those off-the -field tactics!

Time to get the social wheels of the club rolling, so let’s all get together on the evening of Friday 17th February. The new season is not far away, and those sessions in the gym, and those training kilometers pounded need backing up with a bit of right arm and jaw exercise. The gathering begins at 8 and there will be the usual excellent selection of beers on offer. By the way, Vicky says if there is anything you would like to see behind the bar let her know, but I think she only meant drinks!

Players Meeting 2012 Report

The season starts here!

Last night’s meeting saw “No Change” for three of our four senior teams, though the Firsts have Cameron Fox as vice-captain and the Thirds have Andy Carey as the new second-in-command.

The evening’s drama was a close-run election between two very good candidates, which saw Andy Gubby elected as skipper of the Seconds.

There will be no change to subscription rates for 2012, but members are encouraged to pay by direct debit, which not only spreads the cost for players, but also gives the club an income throughout the season.
