Junior Cricket
Brewood Cricket Club’s junior teams play in the Staffordshire Youth League (SYL) and the East Shropshire Cricket League (ESCL).
We play competitive cricket at Under 9, Under 11, Under 13 in the SYL and Under 15 in the SYL and ESCL. The latter competition is played on a 40 overs/innings format on Sunday afternoons.
The 2012 season starts on 22 April for the Under 11s and Under 13s and on 29 April our Under 15s shall play their first ESCL match.
The Under 9s shall play in a Kwik cricket pairs competition with the league consisting of four groups with each team in a group playing each other on designated Saturday mornings.
We offer cricket coaching for Under 9s to Under 13s on Tuesday evenings from 10 April and from 13 April for the older players.
There will be opportunities for youngsters to play in senior cricket matches mainly in our thirds and fourths, but for those showing ability a higher level of cricket will be available.
