Brewood CC was formed in 1865 (re-formed 1919) and since then has been a major part of Staffordshire Cricket. The club, in its past, has had some very successful periods, being one of the top clubs around, and has won many a trophy and league. The club is now looking to establish themselves once more as the leading force in Cricket in Staffordshire and this will be done through hard work and continuous development with the talented young cricketers that the club is currently producing.

The club, boasting over 250 playing and social members, is very forward thinking with a strong management committee and sub committees; looking to move the club forwards both on and off the pitch. Brewood CC field 4 senior Saturday sides, a senior T/20 Sunday team, sides to play in mid week Knock-out competitions and 6 Youth teams that range from Under 9’s to Under 16’s.

Our senior 1st XI side play in the Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League. With our senior sides giving youngsters the opportunity to play at weekends, we are attracting more to play at the club; this in turn means that we need to provide better practice facilities and more qualified coaches.

As well as working towards building a strong senior section we are fully committed to the junior section of the club and run coaching nights every  Tuesday and Thursday during the summer organised and delivered by a large, well run Youth Section. We have worked hard to achieve Clubmark, which is awarded to clubs by the ECB who look after their youth sections by providing a safe, structured and organised club with qualified and CRB checked coaches, along with ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children while at the club. We received our award in 2005 and were re-accredited in 2009.

The aim of the club is to provide the means by which any cricketers, or would be cricketers, in South Staffordshire can achieve their potential regardless of their ability, gender or age.

Brewood Cricket Club is very active with local schools and other sports clubs.

We currently use facilities at the Brewood Parish Sports Association ground in Brewood for the home fixtures for our 3rd and 4th XI teams.

We have regular associations with Brewood Middle school as well as the local primary schools in the Brewood area who regularly take part in Kwik Cricket Schools competitions at the ground.
